Boiler installation is our core business focus, but we also cover Guildford and the surrounding Surrey area with a full range of supporting central heating services. This page provides an insight into what we can do for you. If you want to discuss your needs and requirements with qualified gas engineers, please call us on 0782 433 9445. We offer free advice, consultations and estimates, and we pride ourselves on the delivery of a friendly, helpful service from first point of contact, all the way through to the final handover.
All heating engineers on our team have Gas Safe registration and NICEIC accreditation. Surrey Boiler Installations is a member of the Surrey Trading Standards Scheme, and a local Worcester Bosch boiler specialist.
We also have a perfect 10/10 rating on Checkatrade.
Many of our supporting services tie in with new boiler installations, but our gas engineers and heating engineers have the Guildford area covered with flexible solutions that transform the way you heat your home, and which deliver an optimal level of performance that also has a positive impact on the environment by reducing your carbon footprint.
Powerflushing is a maintenance service. Gas and heating engineers cleanse your central heating system with a machine that circulates chemicals to remove accumulated rust, sludge and limescale. You might need a gas engineer to perform a powerflush if a room has cold spots, if you have a noisy system or if you notice discoloured water when you bleed the radiators.
Powerflushing prolongs the lifespan of central heating systems in Guildford and Surrey. It also increases energy efficiency, making it cheaper to heat your home. and reduces the risks of breakdowns and kettling (banging noises).
We also recommend powerflushing to cleanse your system at the same time our engineers perform a new boiler installation.
This modern alternative to a traditional central heating system is a joy on a cold winter’s day. Underfloor heating sits below floor level so that heat rises upwards and fills your entire room space evenly with no cold spots. Walk barefoot in complete comfort, and free up space to improve contemporary aesthetics with no need for bulky radiators.
Underfloor heating comes in wet and dry configurations. The wet system uses hot water from a boiler installation whereas the dry system uses electricity.
Choosing the right system for your Guildford or Surrey property depends on the size of the room space, and which type of boiler installation you have. Our gas engineers and heating engineers can offer professional advice to help you make an informed decision between the two. We can install a new boiler to optimise the underfloor heating system if needed.
We fit Worcester Bosch boilers, and branded appliances from Glow Worm, Vaillant and Viessmann.
Hot Water Cylinders
Hot water cylinders come in several designs; direct, indirect, vented and unvented. The existing heating infrastructure, and your current boiler installation, dictates which one you should choose. A direct hot water cylinder heats water directly using an internal immersion heater. An indirect cylinder relies on other appliances to heat water to the required temperature, and then stores it so that it’s readily available on demand.
Direct and indirect hot water cylinders come vented or unvented. Vented cylinders use feeder tanks to supply cold water via the mains, heating and distributing it to taps and appliances with gravity doing most of the work. Unvented cylinders rely on mains pressure to distribute hot water around homes in the Guildford area.
You must use a qualified gas engineer or heating engineer for hot water cylinder and new boiler installations.
