Surrey Boiler Installations works with a range of leading manufacturers, ensuring that you can find the perfect new boiler for your property. On this page, we’ve provided some detail on these different brands, and what their products bring to the table.
We’ve also looked to provide a detailed explanation of the differences between combi, system and regular boilers – for the benefit of clients in Guildford and wider Surrey who may be investing in boiler installation for the first time.
Please note that all boilers we install come with a standard 5-year warranty, with the option to extend this should you require extra coverage.
Worcester Bosch – Surrey Boiler Installations is the go-to gas engineer should you be looking to invest in a Worcester Bosch boiler; in fact, we specialise in them. That’s why we’ve allocated a separate, dedicated page that features Worcester Bosch’s product and manufacturer details. Navigate to it by clicking here.
Valliant – Another big name manufacturer our gas engineers work with is Valliant. A fantastic choice for a new boiler whether you need a combi, system or regular configuration, many products come with guarantees of up to 10-years. They include their patented ecoTEC and ecoFIT models, which are extremely eco-friendly and made from 85% recyclable materials. They’re hand assembled here in the UK, and are both high performance, easy to use and most importantly, energy efficient.
Veissman – The German manufacturer is a great option for a new boiler, being renowned for their quality. They’ve been in business since 1917, and continue to innovate within the industry, integrating cutting edge new technology and building products from high quality materials. Their aim is to save you money on your energy bills, and to reduce your carbon footprint. As with Valliant, Worcester Bosch and Glow-worm, they have products that will suit combi, system and regular boiler installations, giving our Guildford and Surrey clients a huge range of readily available options.
Glow-worm – With 80 years in the industry under their belt, Glow-worm has become one of the best-known UK heating manufacturers. Their products are applauded for being reliable and efficient, helping you save costs through reducing your annual heating bill, and for rarely requiring repair.
They have products for all types of boiler installation – combi, system and regular. They include the Energy Combi, a popular new boiler which comes with a 7-year guarantee out the box, and features an exceptional quality aluminium heat exchanger and highly efficient, modulating Grundfos pump. Their Energy system boiler is ideal for properties around Guildford and Surrey with multiple bathrooms, and features the same high-grade parts as you’ll find in all other Glow-worm boilers.
Combi Boiler – Combining a highly efficient water heater and a central heating boiler within one unit, this is ideal if you’re looking for a new boiler that will take up minimal space. They don’t need hot water cylinders or cold water storage tanks, as water is heated directly from the mains when you turn on a tap.
Other benefits that Guildford and Surrey property owners enjoy when choosing this type of new boiler include: a high degree of energy efficiency, powerful showers without the need for separate pumps, and the need for less pipework (making it cheaper/easier for a heating engineer to install). Combi boiler installation may not be suitable for homes with a multitude of bathrooms, as they struggle when multiple taps are in use simultaneously.
System Boilers – While system boilers do require a separate hot water storage cylinder, the essential heating components are built into the boiler, which makes it quicker/easier for a heating engineer to fit than a conventional boiler (described below).
You won’t need a tank in the loft, making system boilers ideal for properties in Guildford and Surrounding locales which lack roof space, or have said space set aside for a loft conversion. Despite the extra work involved, they’re an ideal choice for a new boiler if you need to be able to provide a constant supply of hot water to a number of taps simultaneously. They’re also very economical.
Regular Boilers – Also known as conventional or traditional boilers, a gas engineer will only ever recommend investing in one if your property already has traditional heating infrastructure in place; many properties in Guildford and wider Surrey do! They need both a separate hot water cylinder and a cold-water storage tank, meaning they take up a fair bit of room.
But this means that hot/cold water is always readily available and even homes with three or more bathrooms won’t experience much of a drop off in performance. A Surrey Boiler Installations gas engineer most commonly installs this type of new boiler in homes with older radiator systems, which often struggle with the high pressures that combi and system boilers utilise.
